Cardiologist
Dr. Christopher S. Thompson completed his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at LSU in Baton Rouge and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. With over 30 years of experience as an Interventional Cardiologist, he has served in prominent roles such as Co-Director of the Transcatheter Valve Program, Director of the Department of Cardiology at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at multiple facilities.
Dr. Thompson is board-certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and holds fellowships with the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of cardiovascular care, and he has actively participated in numerous clinical trials to advance treatment options.
Dedicated to patient care and innovation, Dr. Thompson enjoys mentoring and contributing to his community in Southwest Louisiana. Outside of his medical career, he is passionate about flying, pickle ball, golfing, landscaping, and Bible studies.
