Imperial Health has announced the selection of Joel McSpadden, SHRM-CP, as their Human Resources Director. He brings 27 years of experience in human resources and business management to Imperial Health.
Originally from Jennings, McSpadden earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance, with a Minor in Accounting from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. For the past four years, he served as the Director of Human Resources for Citadel Completions LLL in Lake Charles, and prior to that, he held human resources and management positions with industrial companies across the Acadiana and Gulf Coast regions.
McSpadden has completed multiple certification and training programs in his areas of specialization. He is a Certified Training Facilitator by DDI (Development Dimensions International), a Society of HR Certified Professional by SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and a PHR Professional certified by HRCI (HR Certification Institute). McSpadden earned an additional training certificate from SHRM for completing the course, “Business Management for HR: Understanding Business Operations.” He is also certified as an internal auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 2200 by SAI Global Auditing.
Active in professional organizations in his field, McSpadden is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Acadiana Society of Human Resource Management (ASHRM), the Imperial Calcasieu Society of SHRM, Development Dimensions International (DDI World), and SWLA Economic Development Alliance.
