Tyler Zachary, MD, endocrinologist with Imperial Health has earned board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He was previously awarded board certification in Internal Medicine from the ABIM. Board certification by the ABIM represents the highest standard in internal medicine and its 21 subspecialties, including endocrinology. Certification means that a physician has demonstrated – to their peers and to the public – that they have the clinical judgment, skills and attitudes essential for the delivery of excellent patient care in internal medicine and their chosen sub- specialty.

Originally from Sulphur, Louisiana, Dr. Zachary earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering with a chemical engineering concentration from McNeese State University. He received his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, and completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Dr. Zachary is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Clinical Endocrinology and the Endocrine Society.

Dr. Zachary is practicing with Dr. Timothy Gilbert and Dr. Sandra Dempsey at the Endocrinology Center of Southwest Louisiana, an affiliate of Imperial Health, with offices in Lake Charles and Sulphur. The Center provides specialized treatment of metabolic disorders, including the management of thyroid disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, and pituitary and adrenal disorders.
